Six of our students have already earned their spot in the highly anticipated Turkey Trot Bumper Car Race by raising $500 each, and they’re ready to face off with none other than our principal, Mrs. Henry! 🏁🛸
Mrs. Henry has been training hard all month, guided by her spirited coach, Mr. Turkey — and let’s just say, the video footage is a must-see for a good laugh! 😂🎥 (Fun fact: Mrs. Henry’s 16-year-old daughter wrote the script for, acted in, directed, and edited this video!)

This weekend, our Purple Star Military Club members had the honor of visiting the Veterans Home to spread joy and show appreciation for those who have served. With handmade cards and cheerful spirits, they spent time connecting with the residents and brightening their day. Thank you to our military families for their thoughtfulness and happy Veterans Day to all who have served.

Cowen Studios will be at Sun City Elementary on: Thursday, November 14
Participation is voluntary for this fun event. Please indicate to your student and their teacher if you want your student(s) to be photographed. If you want a sibling photo, please also tell your children’s teachers and/or fill out the form provided by the school. Your child will be photographed on both backgrounds: the Christmas doors without Santa and the Toy Shop with Santa, unless otherwise indicated.
Your student will receive a QR sheet just like our other events, so please check your student’s backpack the day of photos. Online proofs will be available approximately two weeks after the session. Please place orders immediately to ensure Christmas delivery.
Please dress your child in holiday themed attire.

Our Sun City Stars sure know how to shine! ✨ These students chose to spend their hard-earned PBIS points on an epic Glow Party, complete with light-up glasses, glow sticks, and dancing under the party lights. It was a day full of fun, laughter, and glowing smiles. Great job, Stars—you earned it!
We got to celebrate our Outstanding Support Person of the Year tonight at the Bossier Parish School Board meeting! Congratulations to our fabulous paraprofessional, Mrs. Wilson!!! 🎉 Mrs. Wilson is a light to everyone who meets her! Her positivity shines bright with both students and staff. Miss Melvin’s calm, engaging approach brings magic to her kindergarten classroom every day with games, music, and dancing that make learning fun. Her students adore her, and so do we. All Bossier Schools and Centers will be closed on Tuesday, November 5 for Election Day.
The weekend is a great time to share your child's personal fundraising link with family and friends!! Any student who raises $25 will receive a souvenir bracelet and will be able to participate in the Turkey Trot Obstacle Course!
